Barangay Cubay-Sermon

Barangay Cubay-Sermon is a small barangay in the municipality of Sibalom, located in the province of Antique, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cubay-Sermon had a population of 1,429. This made it the 10th largest of 76 barangays in Sibalom by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cubay-Sermon accounted for approximately 2.24% of the total population of Sibalom, which stood at 63,833 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Cubay-Sermon changed from 949 to 1,429, a shift of +50.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sibalom. Barangay Cubay-Sermon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sibalom is a municipality comprising 76 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cubay-Sermon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
