Barangay Odiong

Barangay Odiong forms part of Sibalom, a municipality in Antique, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Odiong had a population of 854. This made it the 24th largest of 76 barangays in Sibalom by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Odiong accounted for approximately 1.34% of the total population of Sibalom, which stood at 63,833 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 838 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 854 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.9%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay Odiong is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sibalom is a municipality comprising 76 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Odiong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Antique, which contains 590 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Odiong ranks 261st by 2020 population. Antique is classified as a 2nd by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
