Barangay San Juan

Barangay San Juan is a small barangay in the municipality of Sibalom, located in the province of Antique, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Juan had a population of 1,394. This made it the 11th largest of 76 barangays in Sibalom by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Juan accounted for approximately 2.18% of the total population of Sibalom, which stood at 63,833 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Juan moving from 1,318 residents to 1,394 residents, an intercensal change of +5.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay San Juan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sibalom is a municipality comprising 76 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Juan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Antique, which contains 590 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Juan ranks 135th by 2020 population.
