Barangay Sido

Situated in Sibalom, Antique, Barangay Sido is one of 76 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sido had a population of 878. This made it the 23rd largest of 76 barangays in Sibalom by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sido accounted for approximately 1.38% of the total population of Sibalom, which stood at 63,833 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sido moving from 849 residents to 878 residents, an intercensal change of +3.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Sido is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sibalom is a municipality comprising 76 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sido, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
