Barangay San Jose

Barangay San Jose is a small barangay in the municipality of Sierra Bullones, located in the province of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Jose had a population of 946. This made it the 13th largest of 22 barangays in Sierra Bullones by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Jose accounted for approximately 3.63% of the total population of Sierra Bullones, which stood at 26,095 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Jose changed from 888 to 946, a shift of +6.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sierra Bullones. Barangay San Jose is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sierra Bullones is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Jose, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
