Barangay Curtin

Situated in Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Barangay Curtin is one of 44 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Curtin had a population of 318. This made it the 39th largest of 44 barangays in Sinait by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Curtin accounted for approximately 1.22% of the total population of Sinait, which stood at 25,998 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 332 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 318 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -4.2%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Curtin is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
