Barangay Rang-ay (Pob.)

Barangay Rang-ay (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Sinait, located in the province of Ilocos Sur, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Rang-ay (Pob.) had a population of 503. This made it the 23rd largest of 44 barangays in Sinait by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Rang-ay (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.93% of the total population of Sinait, which stood at 25,998 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Rang-ay (Pob.) moving from 546 residents to 503 residents, an intercensal change of -7.9%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Rang-ay (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
