Barangay Poblacion

Situated in Siruma, Camarines Sur, Barangay Poblacion is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 1,966. This made it the 2nd largest of 22 barangays in Siruma by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 10.12% of the total population of Siruma, which stood at 19,419 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 1,694 residents to 1,966 residents, an intercensal change of +16.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
