Barangay Bigbiga

Barangay Bigbiga is a small barangay in the municipality of Sudipen, located in the province of La Union, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bigbiga had a population of 1,072. This made it the 6th largest of 17 barangays in Sudipen by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bigbiga accounted for approximately 6.24% of the total population of Sudipen, which stood at 17,187 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bigbiga moving from 1,080 residents to 1,072 residents, an intercensal change of -0.7%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. Barangay Bigbiga is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
