Situated in Sudipen, La Union, Barangay Porporiket is one of 17 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Porporiket had a population of 826. This made it the 13th largest of 17 barangays in Sudipen by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Porporiket accounted for approximately 4.81% of the total population of Sudipen, which stood at 17,187 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Porporiket changed from 900 to 826, a shift of -8.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Sudipen.
