Barangay Baybay (Pob.)

Barangay Baybay (Pob.) forms part of Sulat, a municipality in Eastern Samar, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Baybay (Pob.) had a population of 713. This made it the 9th largest of 18 barangays in Sulat by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Baybay (Pob.) accounted for approximately 4.52% of the total population of Sulat, which stood at 15,758 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Baybay (Pob.) changed from 663 to 713, a shift of +7.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sulat. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Baybay (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sulat is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Baybay (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
