Barangay Concepcion

Situated in Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur, Barangay Concepcion is one of 15 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Concepcion had a population of 1,202. This made it the 8th largest of 15 barangays in Tabina by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Concepcion accounted for approximately 4.67% of the total population of Tabina, which stood at 25,734 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,185 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,202 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.4%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay Concepcion is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tabina is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Concepcion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
