Barangay Pasil

Situated in Tanauan, Leyte, Barangay Pasil is one of 54 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

This made it the 47th largest of 54 barangays in Tanauan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pasil accounted for approximately 0.71% of the total population of Tanauan, which stood at 57,455 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pasil moving from 340 residents to 410 residents, an intercensal change of +20.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Pasil is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tanauan is a municipality comprising 54 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pasil, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
