Barangay Vivo

Barangay Vivo is a small barangay in the municipality of Tangalan, located in the province of Aklan, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Vivo had a population of 698. This made it the 12th largest of 15 barangays in Tangalan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Vivo accounted for approximately 2.94% of the total population of Tangalan, which stood at 23,704 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Vivo moving from 574 residents to 698 residents, an intercensal change of +21.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Vivo as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tangalan is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Vivo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Aklan, which contains 327 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Vivo ranks 277th by 2020 population.
