Barangay Bato-bato

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Bato-bato is one of the administrative divisions of Tapaz in Capiz, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bato-bato had a population of 387. This made it the 52nd largest of 58 barangays in Tapaz by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bato-bato accounted for approximately 0.71% of the total population of Tapaz, which stood at 54,423 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 364 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 387 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +6.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Bato-bato is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tapaz is a municipality comprising 58 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bato-bato, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
