Situated in Tapaz, Capiz, Barangay Camburanan is one of 58 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

This made it the 7th largest of 58 barangays in Tapaz by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Camburanan accounted for approximately 2.65% of the total population of Tapaz, which stood at 54,423 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,395 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,444 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Camburanan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
