Barangay Bukal

Situated in Taysan, Batangas, Barangay Bukal is one of 20 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bukal had a population of 1,652. This made it the 14th largest of 20 barangays in Taysan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bukal accounted for approximately 4.11% of the total population of Taysan, which stood at 40,146 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,554 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,652 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +6.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Bukal is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Taysan is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bukal, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
