Barangay Banga

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Banga is one of the administrative divisions of Tinambac in Camarines Sur, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Banga had a population of 1,191. This made it the 24th largest of 44 barangays in Tinambac by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Banga accounted for approximately 1.70% of the total population of Tinambac, which stood at 70,176 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Banga changed from 1,195 to 1,191, a shift of -0.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Tinambac. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Banga as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tinambac is a municipality comprising 44 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Banga, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Camarines Sur, which contains 1,063 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Banga ranks 640th by 2020 population.
