Barangay Camagong

Situated in Tinambac, Camarines Sur, Barangay Camagong is one of 44 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Camagong had a population of 1,054. This made it the 27th largest of 44 barangays in Tinambac by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Camagong accounted for approximately 1.50% of the total population of Tinambac, which stood at 70,176 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 808 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,054 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +30.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Camagong as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tinambac is a municipality comprising 44 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Camagong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Camarines Sur, which contains 1,063 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Camagong ranks 698th by 2020 population.
