Situated in Tinambac, Camarines Sur, Barangay Tierra Nevada is one of 44 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tierra Nevada had a population of 2,559. This made it the 7th largest of 44 barangays in Tinambac by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tierra Nevada accounted for approximately 3.65% of the total population of Tinambac, which stood at 70,176 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tierra Nevada changed from 2,395 to 2,559, a shift of +6.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Tinambac.
