Barangay Aras-Asan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Aras-Asan is one of the administrative divisions of Tobias Fornier in Antique, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Aras-Asan had a population of 1,125. This made it the 9th largest of 50 barangays in Tobias Fornier by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Aras-Asan accounted for approximately 3.33% of the total population of Tobias Fornier, which stood at 33,816 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Aras-Asan moving from 1,120 residents to 1,125 residents, an intercensal change of +0.4%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. Barangay Aras-Asan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
