Barangay Barasanan B

Barangay Barasanan B is a small barangay in the municipality of Tobias Fornier, located in the province of Antique, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Barasanan B had a population of 632. This made it the 20th largest of 50 barangays in Tobias Fornier by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Barasanan B accounted for approximately 1.87% of the total population of Tobias Fornier, which stood at 33,816 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 512 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 632 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +23.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Barasanan B as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tobias Fornier is a municipality comprising 50 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Barasanan B, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
