Situated in Tobias Fornier, Antique, Barangay Poblacion Norte is one of 50 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion Norte had a population of 1,798. This made it the 2nd largest of 50 barangays in Tobias Fornier by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion Norte accounted for approximately 5.32% of the total population of Tobias Fornier, which stood at 33,816 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,683 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,798 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +6.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Poblacion Norte is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
