Barangay Villaflor

Barangay Villaflor is a small barangay in the municipality of Tobias Fornier, located in the province of Antique, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Villaflor had a population of 1,617. This made it the 3rd largest of 50 barangays in Tobias Fornier by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Villaflor accounted for approximately 4.78% of the total population of Tobias Fornier, which stood at 33,816 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Villaflor changed from 1,480 to 1,617, a shift of +9.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Tobias Fornier. Barangay Villaflor is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tobias Fornier is a municipality comprising 50 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Villaflor, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Antique, which contains 590 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Villaflor ranks 102nd by 2020 population.
