Barangay San Isidro

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay San Isidro is one of the administrative divisions of Tomas Oppus in Southern Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Isidro had a population of 1,286. This made it the 1st largest of 29 barangays in Tomas Oppus by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Isidro accounted for approximately 7.57% of the total population of Tomas Oppus, which stood at 16,990 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Isidro moving from 1,227 residents to 1,286 residents, an intercensal change of +4.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Isidro as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tomas Oppus is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Isidro, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
