Barangay San Roque

Situated in Trento, Agusan Del Sur, Barangay San Roque is one of 16 barangays that make up the municipality within Caraga.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Roque had a population of 1,233. This made it the 12th largest of 16 barangays in Trento by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Roque accounted for approximately 2.26% of the total population of Trento, which stood at 54,492 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Roque changed from 1,348 to 1,233, a shift of -8.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Trento. Barangay San Roque is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
