Barangay Jagbuaya

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Jagbuaya is one of the administrative divisions of Tuburan in Cebu, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Jagbuaya had a population of 1,657. This made it the 14th largest of 54 barangays in Tuburan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Jagbuaya accounted for approximately 2.43% of the total population of Tuburan, which stood at 68,167 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Jagbuaya moving from 1,397 residents to 1,657 residents, an intercensal change of +18.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Jagbuaya as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
