Barangay Kampoot

Barangay Kampoot is a small barangay in the municipality of Tuburan, located in the province of Cebu, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Kampoot had a population of 526. This made it the 42nd largest of 54 barangays in Tuburan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kampoot accounted for approximately 0.77% of the total population of Tuburan, which stood at 68,167 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Kampoot moving from 573 residents to 526 residents, an intercensal change of -8.2%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Kampoot as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
