Barangay Lusong

Situated in Tuburan, Cebu, Barangay Lusong is one of 54 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lusong had a population of 905. This made it the 31st largest of 54 barangays in Tuburan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lusong accounted for approximately 1.33% of the total population of Tuburan, which stood at 68,167 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Lusong changed from 962 to 905, a shift of -5.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Tuburan. Barangay Lusong is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tuburan is a municipality comprising 54 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lusong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
