Barangay Macupa

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Macupa is one of the administrative divisions of Tuburan in Cebu, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Macupa had a population of 349. This made it the 46th largest of 54 barangays in Tuburan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Macupa accounted for approximately 0.51% of the total population of Tuburan, which stood at 68,167 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Macupa changed from 364 to 349, a shift of -4.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Tuburan. Barangay Macupa is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tuburan is a municipality comprising 54 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Macupa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
