Barangay San Juan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay San Juan is one of the administrative divisions of Tuburan in Cebu, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Juan had a population of 948. This made it the 29th largest of 54 barangays in Tuburan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Juan accounted for approximately 1.39% of the total population of Tuburan, which stood at 68,167 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 974 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 948 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -2.7%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Juan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tuburan is a municipality comprising 54 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Juan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cebu, which contains 1,203 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Juan ranks 890th by 2020 population.
