Barangay Libag Sur

Barangay Libag Sur is a mid-sized barangay in the city of Tuguegarao City, located in the province of Cagayan, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Libag Sur had a population of 2,919. This made it the 25th largest of 49 barangays in Tuguegarao City by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Libag Sur accounted for approximately 1.75% of the total population of Tuguegarao City, which stood at 166,334 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Libag Sur changed from 2,708 to 2,919, a shift of +7.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Tuguegarao City. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Libag Sur as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
