Barangay Pengue

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Pengue is one of the administrative divisions of Tuguegarao City in Cagayan, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pengue had a population of 6,645. This made it the 7th largest of 49 barangays in Tuguegarao City by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Pengue accounted for approximately 3.99% of the total population of Tuguegarao City, which stood at 166,334 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pengue moving from 5,629 residents to 6,645 residents, an intercensal change of +18.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Pengue is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Tuguegarao City is a city comprising 49 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pengue, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
