Barangay Ugac Sur

Barangay Ugac Sur is a large barangay in the city of Tuguegarao City, located in the province of Cagayan, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Ugac Sur had a population of 9,923. This made it the 1st largest of 49 barangays in Tuguegarao City by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Ugac Sur accounted for approximately 5.97% of the total population of Tuguegarao City, which stood at 166,334 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Ugac Sur changed from 10,858 to 9,923, a shift of -8.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Tuguegarao City. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Ugac Sur as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Tuguegarao City is a city comprising 49 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ugac Sur, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
