Barangay Looc-labuan

Barangay Looc-labuan forms part of Tungawan, a municipality in Zamboanga Sibugay, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Looc-labuan had a population of 1,528. This made it the 15th largest of 25 barangays in Tungawan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Looc-labuan changed from 1,370 to 1,528, a shift of +11.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Tungawan. Barangay Looc-labuan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Tungawan is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Looc-labuan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
