Barangay Baracbac

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Baracbac is one of the administrative divisions of Umingan in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Baracbac had a population of 1,116. This made it the 32nd largest of 58 barangays in Umingan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Baracbac accounted for approximately 1.45% of the total population of Umingan, which stood at 77,074 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 913 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,116 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +22.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Baracbac as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Umingan is a municipality comprising 58 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Baracbac, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pangasinan, which contains 1,364 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Baracbac ranks 1116th by 2020 population.
