Barangay Buenavista

Situated in Umingan, Pangasinan, Barangay Buenavista is one of 58 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Buenavista had a population of 683. This made it the 51st largest of 58 barangays in Umingan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Buenavista accounted for approximately 0.89% of the total population of Umingan, which stood at 77,074 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 656 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 683 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +4.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Buenavista is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
