Situated in Unisan, Quezon, Barangay Poctol is one of 36 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poctol had a population of 1,503. This made it the 3rd largest of 36 barangays in Unisan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poctol accounted for approximately 5.91% of the total population of Unisan, which stood at 25,448 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,640 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,503 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -8.4%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Poctol is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
