Situated in Unisan, Quezon, Barangay Tubas is one of 36 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

This made it the 20th largest of 36 barangays in Unisan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tubas accounted for approximately 2.16% of the total population of Unisan, which stood at 25,448 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tubas changed from 625 to 549, a shift of -12.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Unisan. Barangay Tubas is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
