Barangay Sisimon

Barangay Sisimon is a small barangay in the municipality of Veruela, located in the province of Agusan Del Sur, in the Caraga region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Sisimon had a population of 652. This made it the 18th largest of 20 barangays in Veruela by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sisimon accounted for approximately 1.64% of the total population of Veruela, which stood at 39,708 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sisimon moving from 1,320 residents to 652 residents, an intercensal change of -50.6%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Sisimon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
