Situated in Victoria, Tarlac, Barangay Baculong is one of 26 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Baculong had a population of 4,325. This made it the 2nd largest of 26 barangays in Victoria by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Baculong accounted for approximately 6.23% of the total population of Victoria, which stood at 69,370 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,087 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,325 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +5.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Baculong as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Victoria is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Baculong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Tarlac, which contains 511 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Baculong ranks 85th by 2020 population.
