Barangay Danan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Danan is one of the administrative divisions of Vincenzo a. Sagun in Zamboanga Del Sur, Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Danan had a population of 2,609. This made it the 2nd largest of 14 barangays in Vincenzo a. Sagun by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Danan accounted for approximately 10.50% of the total population of Vincenzo a. Sagun, which stood at 24,852 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Danan moving from 2,413 residents to 2,609 residents, an intercensal change of +8.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Danan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
