Barangay Limason

Barangay Limason is a small barangay in the municipality of Vincenzo a. Sagun, located in the province of Zamboanga Del Sur, in the Zamboanga Peninsula region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Limason had a population of 1,683. This made it the 6th largest of 14 barangays in Vincenzo a. Sagun by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Limason accounted for approximately 6.77% of the total population of Vincenzo a. Sagun, which stood at 24,852 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Limason moving from 1,609 residents to 1,683 residents, an intercensal change of +4.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Limason as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
