Barangay General Luna

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay General Luna is one of the administrative divisions of Zaragoza in Nueva Ecija, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay General Luna had a population of 2,424. This made it the 10th largest of 19 barangays in Zaragoza by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay General Luna accounted for approximately 4.57% of the total population of Zaragoza, which stood at 53,090 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay General Luna changed from 2,285 to 2,424, a shift of +6.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Zaragoza. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay General Luna as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Zaragoza is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay General Luna, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Nueva Ecija, which contains 849 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay General Luna ranks 352nd by 2020 population.
