Barangay Poblacion West

Barangay Poblacion West is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Alitagtag, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion West had a population of 2,595. This made it the 1st largest of 19 barangays in Alitagtag by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion West accounted for approximately 9.68% of the total population of Alitagtag, which stood at 26,819 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Poblacion West changed from 2,445 to 2,595, a shift of +6.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Alitagtag. Barangay Poblacion West is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
