Barangay Centro

Barangay Centro is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Amulung, located in the province of Cagayan, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Centro had a population of 2,838. This made it the 1st largest of 47 barangays in Amulung by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Centro accounted for approximately 5.64% of the total population of Amulung, which stood at 50,336 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Centro moving from 2,495 residents to 2,838 residents, an intercensal change of +13.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Centro is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
