Barangay Goran

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Goran is one of the administrative divisions of Amulung in Cagayan, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Goran had a population of 424. This made it the 42nd largest of 47 barangays in Amulung by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Goran accounted for approximately 0.84% of the total population of Amulung, which stood at 50,336 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Goran changed from 407 to 424, a shift of +4.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Amulung. Barangay Goran is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Amulung is a municipality comprising 47 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Goran, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
