Barangay Dulangan I

Situated in Baco, Oriental Mindoro, Barangay Dulangan I is one of 27 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dulangan I had a population of 1,774. This made it the 8th largest of 27 barangays in Baco by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dulangan I accounted for approximately 4.46% of the total population of Baco, which stood at 39,817 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,869 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,774 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -5.1%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dulangan I as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Baco is a municipality comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dulangan I, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
