Barangay San Ignacio

Barangay San Ignacio is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Baco, located in the province of Oriental Mindoro, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Ignacio had a population of 2,392. This made it the 4th largest of 27 barangays in Baco by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Ignacio accounted for approximately 6.01% of the total population of Baco, which stood at 39,817 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Ignacio moving from 1,986 residents to 2,392 residents, an intercensal change of +20.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
