Barangay Water

Situated in Baco, Oriental Mindoro, Barangay Water is one of 27 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Water had a population of 1,588. This made it the 11th largest of 27 barangays in Baco by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Water accounted for approximately 3.99% of the total population of Baco, which stood at 39,817 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Water moving from 1,467 residents to 1,588 residents, an intercensal change of +8.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Water as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
